Jazz Fest tickets selling fast

CTIJF hype is building ahead of event next month

TICKETS for the Cape Town International Jazz Festival (CTIJF) are selling like hot cakes as organisers prepare to name the next groot name joining the show.

With over 20 more artists still to be unveiled, including some surprise international acts that are sure to leave festival-goers buzzing, this year’s festival is shaping up to be an unforgettable musical experience. 

Already on the bill for Africa’s Grandest Gathering are Black Coffee and Nduduzo Makhathini, who will be doing their collaboration live on stage for the first time.

Renowned bassist Benjamin Jephta will be jamming with Kunjenga, while The Kyle Shepherd Trio will be flying the Kaapse flag high for homegrown talent. 

Sax player Linda Sikhakhane and vocalist Thandiswa Mazwai will also take the stage, while Afro-pop favourite Lira will be making a comeback to the show after recovering from a stroke.  

Grammy-nominated US-based R&B star Ari Lennox adds an international flavour with her soulful sounds and electrifying stage presence to the festival for a truly unforgettable performance.

Festival talent manager Lindsay Rhoda says: “The response to our Phase 1 line-up has been incredible, and we’re just getting started.
