SKELBEK Meghan Markle was straightened out by the late Queen Elizabeth II for berating a wedding caterer. 

This is the latest claim from nog ’n royals biographer, Katie Nicholl, author of the new book The New Royals.

According to the Daily Mail, Nicholl was recounting the story as Meghan got heeltemaal omgekrap ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018. 

Coincidently, Meghan and Harry celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary yesterday. 

Nicholl claims that Meghan was tasting the menu at Windsor Castle ahead of her big day. 

But, Meg, who is a vegan, took issue with one of the larney dishes. 

In an excerpt from her book, Nicholl writes: “On one occasion in the run-up to the wedding, Meghan went to Windsor Castle for a menu-tasting and ended up having a tense exchange with a member of staff

“Meghan was at the castle to taste some of the dishes, and told one of the caterers she could taste egg.

“She got quite upset, saying that the dish was meant to be vegan and macrobiotic.”

According to Nicholl’s source, the incident got back to the queen who allegedly decided to address the issue.

The inside claimed: “Suddenly the Queen walked in and said: ‘Meghan, in this family we don’t speak to people like that’.”

Mothers-in-law, ne?

US celebrity skinner website PageSix.com claim to have reached out to the Duchess of Sussex representative, but they did not immediately respond for comment.

This is not the first time that mense have accused the former Suits star of being “difficult” with staff. 

In February, British journalist Tom Quinn claimed that mense called the 43-year-old actress the “Duchess of Difficult”. 

He quoted an anonymous palace staff member, as saying: “She could be difficult because she was finding life difficult — trying to feel her way and work out the intricacies of a positively medieval, labyrinthine system.

Meghan and Harry have, however, stepped down from their royal duties and moved to California, where Meghan grew up.
