Another cold front is expected to breeze over the western parts of South Africa from Friday.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) is predicting very cold, as well as wet and windy conditions in the Western Cape and Northern Cape.
The SAWS said the cold front would result in daytime temperatures of just 10 degrees and below in some areas, and wind speeds of up to 30km/h. Widespread rain is also expected.
The SAWS is predicting temperatures of between 11°C and 14°C on Friday and 8°C to 14°C on Saturday. The eastern parts of South Africa should see warmer conditions moving into the weekend, with Johannesburg expected to experience a temperature range of 7°C to 19°C on Friday and 8°C to 20°C on Saturday.
Western Cape residents have been urged to avoid flooded areas, and look out for official updates on the weather, while small stock farmers are advised to protect their livestock.
