Ouma, 101, and tot, 3, raped in Limpopo

IN SHOCKING stories coming out of Limpopo, a man has been sentenced for the rape of a 101-year-old ouma and a man has appeared in court for raping a three-year-old girl. 

Abram Johannes Mahlangu, 28, was given a life innie mang for the rape of the gogo, along with an additional three-year sentence for housebreaking.

The incident occurred at Sehlakoana Village, Zaaplaas, in the early hours of Saturday, 27 July 2024

The court noted that the victim had gone to sleep in her bedroom with doors and windows securely closed

The suspect entered, forcibly restrained the victim, ordered her to remain quiet, undressed her, and raped her. 

After committing the heinous crime, the accused escaped through a window.

Meanwhile, in a case that has sent shockwaves through the community, a  crèche transport driver is accused of brutally raping of a three-year-old girl in Springs village, Botlokwa.

The 66-year-old suspect, Selaelo Justice Mongalo, was swiftly arrested and is now facing the full force of the law. 

He appeared in the Morebeng Magistrate Court on October 1, 2025, following his arrest by the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) in Polokwane on Monday, 29 September.

Reports indicate that on Friday, 25 September 2025, after Mongalo had dropped the child off at her home, she began complaining of pains, the guardian took her to a medical facility where the truth was confirmed: the child had been raped.
