DURBAN vrou Sarah Lee Naidoo, 29, accused of fatally stabbing her partner Julian “Julz” Ramiah, 47, at his Blouberg beachfront apartment, will remain in Pollsmoor Prison until her bail hearing later this month.

The matter was heard in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on 26 November, where the case was once again postponed.

Ramiah was allegedly murdered in the early hours of the morning on 1 September, after an altercation at his apartment.

According to Julian’s sister, Layyen Zarina Ramiah, Naidoo and her broer share a minor child.

She told the Daily Voice’s sister newspaper The Post, that when Jullian broke off his relationship with Naidoo in 2023, she became violent and manipulative.

He relocated to the Cape in 2024, but Layyen says she learnt that Naidoo had moved to the Mother City in August.

Layyen expressed frustration at the continued delays, saying the drawn-out process had been emotionally difficult.

She said: “I hope the legal process continues to be thorough and fair. My focus remains on justice for Julian.”

She said a relative had been served with a protection order and cease-and-desist letter over online posts calling for justice for Ramiah.

Layyen added: “This was over the videos posted online calling for justice to prevail.

“I hope for a full and fair trial where all facts are properly considered and where justice is served for Julian.

“My focus remains on ensuring that accurate information about the case is shared and that my brother’s story is told in a responsible way.”

The bail hearing is expected to resume on 22 December.
