R15 ticket lands R178M Powerball jackpot

A LUCKY punter has become R178 million richer after winning Tuesday night's PowerBall jackpot. The National Lottery Ithuba has confirmed that the jackpot was a whopping R178 955 240, 90.

The winner spent just R15 on their winning ticket, which was purchased via the FNB banking app using a Quick Pick selection.

This remarkable win ranks as the second-largest National Lottery jackpot in South African history. The highest payout for PowerBall was R232 million won by a Cape Town resident in February 2019.
