Edwill van der Merwe and his wife Nadine recently announced that they are expecting their first child.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, the couple shared a heart-warming video and gave a glimpse into their photoshoot.
The pair chose the beach as the location of their photoshoot and wore white outfits as the theme of their pregnancy reveal.
In the video, the pair playfully run around the beach as they celebrate and embrace Nadine’s growing bump, while showing the baby scan as well.
The rugby star then wrote on the sand “Mom + Dad.”
They captioned the post: “Half of and half of you.”
To spice up the pregnancy announcement, they also hinted at the gender of their baby as they included a blue heart emoji, which in most cases, couples who decide to include a blue or pink emoji symbolises the gender of their unborn child.
Nadine and Edwill have been giving glimpses of their love story on their social media accounts through heartfelt dedicated posts.
The lovebirds started dating in 2014 and in September 2021, the pair got engaged.
“Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Literally the best birthday surprise! THATS MY FIANCE GUYS.” Nadine excitedly shared on Instagram.
In December 2023, the pair tied the knot in an intimate ceremony surrounded by friends and family in Cape Town.
