Marsha Dean|Published

The month of October just got a lot funnier as all roads lead to the Mother of Comedy this Saturday at the Good Hope Christian Centre.

This one-of-a-kind comedy event is an opportunity to highlight the comedic talents that the Cape has to offer and also serves a broader purpose by focusing on social issues that are currently affecting the nation such as GBV, suicide and mental health.

The event aims to celebrate the country’s rich cultural heritage and create opportunities for sustainable job creation, economic growth, and social impact.

Through humour, the show will address critical topics such as gender-based violence, suicide, and mental health, raising awareness and fostering conversations on these matters.

Die ding gaan ruk with the funniest mense under one roof, get read to laugh out loud to Wayne McKay and Yusuf Daniels, who will be your MCs for the day.

Taking the stage are comedians Loukmaan Adams, Kurt Schoonraad, Wesley Paulse, Ambrose Uren, Khanyisile Ngwenya, Mel Jones and KG Mokgadi to name a few.

By combining comedy with a commitment to social responsibility, the Mother of Comedy Show will provide entertainment that educates and empowers, leaving a lasting legacy for the arts, culture, and the people of South Africa.

It promises to be a memorable night, one that blends laughter with a vital message for change.

Let your hair down a bietjie and grab your friends and family and stiek uit for an unforgettable experience.

There are two shows this Saturday, one at 2pm and another at 7pm. Tickets are available on Webtickets or any Pick n Pay store from R150.
