GET revved up for a jitz motor racing spectacle on the slopes of Table Mountain with the Speed Classic Cape Town this weekend.

Catch kwaai karre roar down Philip Kgosana on Saturday and Sunday in an unmissable show of pace, power and driving precision.

Local and international racers will show off motoring jewels in the Classic Car race on Saturday, before shifting to all-out speed with the King of the Mountain showdown on the 1.8km course.

Legendary South African racing driver Farouk Dangor will be in action on both days.

On Classic Car Saturday, Farouk will take the wheel of his 1993 BMW M3 E30, the only one of its kind in South Africa and still in original touring car condition.

And on Sunday, he will let loose in his red 2024 Ferrari SF90 Stradale.

He said: “When I told my wife I’d enter the Ferrari, she thought I was crazy. But I told her ‘I can do it and I know my car can do it’. It is built to race and made for this challenge.”
