IT’S THE WORLD CUP K@K

US showpiece is exactly what I expected it to be

HELLO my good football people, hope all is well your side… I’m having one of those moments where everything I’m looking at football-wise seems to be super annoying like the “I told you so” moment when Senegal took England to the cleaners!

It was absolutely awful. But why are people expecting Thomas Tuchel to be the coach that finally takes the Three Lions to World Cup success?

Is it really so superficial that winning the Bundesliga in pretty much a one-or-two team league and being hired a few months before a built Chelsea side won the Champions League means he is the saviour?

His tactics and style of football at Stamford Bridge were nothing more than ordinary.

He really is the most overrated ‘top flight’ coach in football.

I’d seriously consider Big Ange Postecoglou as a better shout for the England job.

I hope, I PRAY, that I’ve got it all wrong. Of course it was only a friendly and the German has limited time in his position, but seriously, at home against a nation ranked at 19… it wasn’t even close.

OVERHYPED: Bafana Victor Osimhen

It’s like the continued gaslighting of Victor Osimhen. Ranked as one of the world’s top 10 strikers? Chelsea Twitter brigade “demanding” he should be brought to the Bridge. I just don’t see the hype.

Ok, a good season in Serie A a couple of years ago, but his claim to fame is performing in the Turkish League. According to reports, Man United and Chelsea have expressed interest since the Nigerian turned down a bumper Saudi offer.

People think I’m an idiot because I feel Liam Delap will be a much better prospect in the Premier League.

Onto the Club World Cup and yeah, does appear (at the moment) that our fears of a shite tournament might be coming true.

There was bigger attendance and noise at Trump’s Military Parade and that’s saying something! Fifa scrambling to sell overpriced tickets in time to get a decent amount of bums on seats.

Students were offered four for $20! Then of course, because it’s in the States, very few club supporters are in the stadium to create an atmosphere.

The Americans are there for the spectacle, not to get behind a team and that automatically puts a bit of a dampener on it.

That might change slightly with Chelsea who have a bit of a fan base over there.

Then of course there’s the standard of teams pitched against each other and quality of football. It does appear so far that we’re not just seeing ‘friendly’ games.

They are fairly competitive and that might increase once the big boys qualify for the knockout stage. I mean Bayern Munich v Auckland? WTF? 10-0? I know they have to include all regions, but these poor fellas from New Zealand are just part-timers.

They don’t even get paid. Rather than a great experience they will be totally disheartened following the double figure crucifying.

Last but not least, they’re starting again aren’t they?

Liverpool fans… they’re winning the quadruple again aren’t they… it gets so tiring. Yes, Jeremie Frimpong is a great signing and its pretty much done and dusted that they’ll be parting with a £125-million plus for Milos Kerkez.

But can’t we just wait until we’re at least a bit closer to the new season? Chelsea and City competing in the Club World K@k will definitely work to the Scousers advantage.

A Scouser from deep in the Plain, said “we’re doing the quad” once again! But year after year, the dream goes all queer, crying ‘bout VAR with no shame.

Lets hope this tournament picks up a bit…

Chat next week, bye byeee…
