STORMERS yster Evan Roos is back in the Springbok fold after coach Rassie Erasmus increased his training squad from 54 to 55 players on Sunday.
Roos has been a big topic of discussion the past month after the No.8 had been left out of the previous Springbok alignment camp in Cape Town on 23 and 24 May.
At the time, a lot of skinner suggested that there was a fallout between Roos and Erasmus - even though the Stormers loosie had attended Erasmus’s first Bok alignment camp in February.
Now Roos finds himself back in the Springbok fold and will be hoping to add to the seven Tests he has already played in the green and gold. With the bruising No.8 playing his last game for the Boks in last year’s one-off Test against Portugal in Bloemfontein.
He then got dropped from the squad because of a shoulder injury.

Roos and the rest of the Springbok training squad assembled in Johannesburg on Sunday and will start on-field preparations from today onwards, ahead of the first game against the Barbarians on 28 June in Cape Town.
The World Champions then tackle Italy in two Tests on 5 and 12 July in Pretoria and Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) respectively, before taking on Georgia in a one-off Test on 19 July in Nelspruit.
Today’s first week of training, however, kicks off with several players still missing due to club commitments.
The Springboks face the Barbarians innie Kaap at the end of the month.
