GOALS, goals and more goals are what Cape Town City are chasing in today’s PSL promotion/relegation playoff match against Casric Stars today at 3pm.

The first goal at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium is to find the back of the net, the second goal is to get a positive result and the ultimate goal is to maintain their status as a PSL Premier Division team.

As it stands, City are level with today’s hosts on one point, with Orbit College - who played to goalless draws against both teams in their first two matches - topping the three-team log with two log points.

Today’s winner - in what will be both teams’ second match of the home-and-away round-robin tournament - will top the mini league when the final whistle blows.

City coach Diogo Peral is hopeful that it will be his charges, but knows with not a single goal being scored by any of the clubs in the league to date, they HAVE to find the back of the net.

Following their goalless draw with Orbit College at Cape Town Stadium at the weekend, Peral said in an interview with SuperSport: “We’re creating chances, but we need to be better in the final third. We have to be more clinical.”

He adds of facing Stars: “It is a different game, away from home, and they [and Orbit are] different teams.

“Casric is a lot more direct - they are the kind of team we struggle against and we’ve got to do our homework. The fight continues.”
