MORE TO COME: Florian Wirtz

LIVERPOOL fans must be geduldig, they will see the best of new signing Florian Wirtz soon.
That’s the message sent out by Wirtz’s fellow new signing Jeremie Frimpong, who – like the German – joined the Reds from Bayer Leverkusen during the close season.
A lot is expected of 22-year-old playmaker Wirtz and he showed glimpses of what he can do in Liverpool’s 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday.
But daai’s nog niks, according to Frimpong, who told the club’s website: “He’s just getting started. Obviously I’ve been with him for four years in Leverkusen, so I know what he can do. I’m seeing that. It’s coming. There’s a lot more to see from him.”
Reds fans will be hoping to see Wirtz at his best at Anfield on Saturday at 1.30pm in what will be the newcomers’ first taste of a Merseyside derby when coach Arne Slot’s manne host Everton in the Premier League.
Coming off five wins on the trot – each needing a late winner – Slot wants his span to bury opponents earlier.
Having created a vrag kanse against Atletico and then needing a last-minute winner from captain Virgil van Dijk to win, Slot said: “A game like this should not have gone to a late game winner…
“I understand that’s the story of the last five games, but it is different. We had so many attacks where we could have scored the third.”
Everton, under David Moyes, are building momentum. A 0-0 draw against Aston Villa last week extended their unbeaten run to four games in all competitions since an opening-day loss. One standout is Manchester City loanee Jack Grealish, who is beginning to rediscover his form.
