LIVERPOOL head to Stamford Bridge at 6.30pm on Saturday looking to bounce back from consecutive defeats, with midfielder Curtis Jones confident they can do so.

A narrow 1-0 Champions League loss at Galatasaray on Tuesday followed a dramatic Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace at the weekend, but Jones insists there is no panic in the camp.

Jones wysed Liverpool’s website: “That’s just part of the game. I say it all the time, you must be mad if you think you can win every game.

“Of course you would like to, but the reality is the teams we play are world-class teams and it’s normal if you lose games – it’s just how you bounce back.

“We’ve got a huge game [against Chelsea], so we have to go again. The lads have to stay calm, it’s fine, it’s part of it.”

Despite dominating possession in Istanbul, the Reds couldn’t find a breakthrough after conceding an early penalty.

Meanwhile, Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella views the clash as a groot opportunity to gauge the team’s development under Enzo Maresca.

Fresh from a hard-fought 1-0 win over Benfica in the Champions League, Cucurella told Chelsea’s website: “The last few games we have played against Liverpool have been a fight.

“We get to play at home, and we’ll be going for the three points because the last results in the Premier League have been a bit tough for us.

“We have a good opportunity to finish with a win before the international break.”
