The spirited inventor of the Ella cappuccino mélange, Neil Hellman, is a passionate, yet wild adventurer. 

Neil leads an adrenaline-filled life; and his adventures take him across the globe from flying missions into the African Savanna, to climbing the highest mountains, rafting wild rivers through towering gorges, to HALO jumping out of aeroplanes at 30 000 ft.

Every day might be different for Neil, but one thing stays the same: he starts each day and wraps up every evening with a cappuccino of the finest quality.

Neil’s adventures, though, often take him far away from the conveniences of modern life. One night while lying under the stars, Neil was determined to invent a cappuccino of premium quality that could be enjoyed wherever his travels and adventures took him. And so the story of Ella commenced.

Three years on and many hurdles later, Neil’s vision of creating a premium cappuccino mélange, one that can be enjoyed anytime, anywhere, became a reality. 

It was of prime importance to Neil that the invention is as environmentally friendly as possible and as a result of this the cappuccino capsule, lid and frothing device are fully recyclable.

A mélange is often compared to a latte and cappuccino, but some characterise it as the blend of the two. The Ella Coffee team use only the best dark roasted beans to create this instant Ella Cappuccino Mélange, made with real liquid espresso and low-fat milk.

There are only 5 easy steps between you and a cappuccino mélange:

1. Choose which flavour you want (Classic, Vanilla, Mocha)

2. Shake the capsule for 20 - 30 seconds

3. Remove the seal and pour it into a cup

4. Fill the empty capsule with boiling water

5. Add it to your cup

With the current and much needed focus on a holistic health-based lifestyle, it’s important that we pay attention to what we put into our bodies and the environment.

We’re living in time where the environment needs us more than ever. Most traditional capsules can't be recycled easily because they’re often made of a mixture of plastic and aluminium.
