WILL Smith has been accused of posting at a video of a fake crowd at one of his shows, with mense saying the fans are AI-generated.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star, 56, kicked off the UK leg of his Based on a True Story tour in Scarborough on Sunday, 24 August.

But after sharing a video on his official YouTube channel, netizens are not impressed.

Titled: 'My favourite part of the tour is seeing you all up close. Thank you for seeing me too,' the video has since gone viral, with fans pointing out what looks like AI-generated footage.

Footage on the video shows a clip shows a man's blurry hand holding a sign which reads: “You Can Make It" helped me survive cancer. THX Will.'

Nog a sketchy clip shows mense hold a sign that reads: 'FR6SH CRINCE.'

The internet had a field day.

“Why is the crowd fake??' one fan wrote.

“Equal parts embarrassing as it is hilarious,' another added.

Nog ene said: “'Imagine being this rich and famous and having to use AI footage of crowds and bot comments on your video. Tragic, man. You used to be cool.'

Another eagle-eyed netizen adds: “'So not only is this an abomination to look at because it's low quality phone footage that's been heavily AI upscaled, but there's also in-between scenes that are clearly AI-generated.”

Smith has been a magnet for controversy ever since he klapped comedian Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars for making a joke about Will’s wife Jada Pinkett-Smith.
