CARDI B says she never got physical with security guard Emani Ellis as she took the stand in a civil assault case.

Ellis is suing the Bodak Yellow hitmaker for “$24 million” for krapping her in the gesig and calling her the N-word in a confrontation outside an obstetrician's office in 2018.

In a courtroom filled with tension and anticipation, Cardi B took the stand on Wednesday.

The case predominantly revolves around the alleged incident, which unfolded during Cardi B’s first pregnancy, a period she was keen to keep private.

On her second day of testimony, Cardi denied having made any physical contact with Ellis, asserting: “She couldn't get a scratch from me because I didn't touch her.”

The incident supposedly escalated when Ellis, who had followed Cardi to her appointment, began filming her, raising fears in Cardi that her pregnancy would be publicly exposed.

"I told her, 'Why are you recording?'" Cardi recounted, indicating that they had a brief exchange of apologies before the atmosphere intensified.

The rapper, who was four months pregnant at the time, described the situation, stating: "As we were arguing, she's backing me, she's walking into me."

Cardi admitted that tensions flared and noted the physical proximity of the two women, highlighting that both were of similar height but that Ellis had a more formidable presence, saying she "just looks a little, like she could protect the building."

Cardi B's pregnancy, she later explained, was not just a personal milestone, but a matter she needed to safeguard, particularly in an industry swirling with public scrutiny.

Cardi was questioned about her lang acrylic nails at the time, as Ellis has claimed they caused the injury.

But Cardi told the court: "It wasn't a shape that was harming; it was coffin-shaped,", insisting that her nails weren’t sharp enough to cause damage.

Earlier in the trial, Ellis took the stand, detailing her feelings of humiliation and trauma as a result of the incident, which has since led her to undergo cosmetic surgery for a facial scar.

Ellis, who lost her job following the altercation, is pursuing damages that encompass medical expenses, compensation for emotional suffering, and punitive damages.

While the specific amount claimed has not been disclosed, Cardi mentioned that Ellis is seeking $24 million.
