THE drug mert who supplied Friends star Matthew Perry with a deadly dose two years ago has pleaded guilty.
In a dramatic turn of events, 42-year-old Jasveen Sangha, infamously known as the 'Ketamine Queen', has pleaded guilty to multiple drug-related charges, including supplying the illicit ketamine that ultimately led to the tragic death of actor Matthew Perry.
This significant hearing took place on Wednesday in Los Angeles.
Sangha, a dual citizen of the United States and the United Kingdom, admitted to one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death, alongside additional charges for maintaining a drug-involved premises and distributing the substance on three separate occasions.
Currently in federal custody, she faces a potential sentence of up to 65 years in prison.
However, prosecutors have stated they will seek a lighter sentence, having agreed to dismiss three other charges related to ketamine distribution and one for methamphetamine.
Perry, best known for his role as Chandler Bing on the classic sitcom “Friends”, passed away from an accidental drowning while under the acute effects of ketamine in October 2023, at the age of 54.
Reports indicate that although Perry had been prescribed ketamine for depression, he had begun sourcing the drug illegally in the weeks leading up to his death.
In connection with Perry's tragic death, four others, including medical professionals and acquaintances, have also pleaded guilty to related charges and are expected to face significant prison time.
