Jennifer Lawrence has always carried that “cool girl” charm, the unfiltered honesty, the awkward red-carpet jokes, the whole laid-back energy that made Hollywood fall in love with her.

But lately the vibe is shifting. What used to read as refreshing is now drifting into full “mean girl” territory, and sis is on a roll, whether she realises it or not.

While out promoting her latest film, "Die My Love", Lawrence has been speaking her mind a little too freely, and the internet is already raising eyebrows."

A reality TV fanatic, she didn’t hesitate to spill her thoughts on "The Kardashians" and The Real Housewives" universe and let’s just say the reviews weren’t glowing.

First, she casually dropped that Kourtney Kardashian is “more annoying than ever.”

Then, during an episode of the "Las Culturistas" podcast with Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, she took things even further and decided to comment on the face of "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" star Lisa Barlow.

It started innocently enough. The hosts said they were watching the new season, and Lawrence immediately perked up, mentioning Barlow but in a tone that sounded more like she was mocking her.

After imitating the way Barlow speaks, Lawrence added, “I won’t get [facial] threads, that’s good to know.” Yang gently tried to defend Barlow, saying, “I think she looks good,” but the Oscar-winning actress hit back with a very sarcastic, “Okay.”

Later in the episode, Lawrence doubled down, saying Barlow was “really bothering” her this season and acting “unhinged.”

For context, Barlow has been open about getting facial threads, a cosmetic procedure that uses dissolvable sutures to subtly lift loose skin. Think of it as a less dramatic alternative to a facelift, meant to add a bit of lift and definition without the downtime of surgery.

Unlike Botox, which relaxes muscles, or fillers, which add volume, threads physically pull the skin upwards for a more youthful look. As Barlow herself has explained, “Threads are a way to get a natural boost and lift.”

And just for added irony, Lawrence herself recently revealed the cosmetic enhancements she’s had and even hinted at planning for a future facelift. So she’s no stranger to a little tweak here and there.

Reddit erupted after the clip went viral, and users had a lot to say. One comment read, “JLaw has always come off as a complete b****. Who insults other women’s looks like this, especially a woman who is older than you? Someone who is mean at their core."

Others pointed out the power imbalance. “This is massively punching down. Why is an Oscar winner making fun of a reality TV person’s plastic surgery? Especially when that Oscar winner keeps lying about her own,” one user wrote.

Another added, “Someone who debuted a whole new face and then denied it has no business talking about another person’s cosmetic work… This just feels so mean.”

Fans aren’t saying Lawrence can’t have an opinion; she always has. But the tone? The timing? The unnecessary jabs about another woman’s face while she’s fresh off discussing her own enhancements?

That’s what’s making people wonder whether the Hollywood darling is slipping into her villain era without even noticing.
