AKA’s fans have launched a Twitter revolt against Reebok.
This after the rapper revealed he didn’t earn a “single cent” from his deal with the sports brand, which dropped him in December last year.
In 2017, the Mitchells Plain star became the first African artist to sign a seven-figure deal to become the face of Reebok Classics Africa.
Supa Mega then broke records when his custom-made Reebok takkies - SneAKA - sold out in 10 minutes when it launched on 26 October last year.

But the thriving collaboration simply crumbled thereafter, with AKA revealing the contract was not renewed just two months later.
This week the 32-year-old businessman explained - while replying to fans - how the Reebok deal turned sour.
Replying to @C_Renzo29, AKA says: “Can you believe they didn’t pay me a single cent for this? ... not one cent.”

When asked if more of his sneakers will be launched, he candidly said: “Probably never again. They refused to give me any sort of payment or royalty.”
The Megacy wasn’t too happy with the revelation and #ReebokMustFall subsequently topped the trending Twitter charts.
AKA further blasted: “S*** happens. *shrug* .... in their mind they were doing me a favour.
“I had no choice... it was always a dream of mine to have my own sneaker. I guess that’s why I took a s***ty deal in exchange for doing something for the culture.(sic)”

It doesn’t look like the rapper will see a single cent from the deal either, as he never signed a contract.
“There was no contract. Only my contract as an ambassador. A contract regarding the #SNEAKA doesn’t even exist,” he revealed.

Despite the drama, AKA says he fulfilled his dream of having a sneaker in his name: “Yeah that’s the only comfort I take from the whole experience.”
