If you love an old school jol, then you simply have to see Best of Boogie.
The show is back with a bang and celebrates 10 years of making people dance in the aisles of the Artscape Theatre.
This year’s theme is the Ultimate 70s/80s party.
Prepare for a night of lekker music performed by some of Cape Town’s most talented artists, and add in a kwaai band, stunning sound and lighting, colourful costumes and of course, a Cape Flats dose of humour.
You can also expect to see amazing tributes to musical icons like Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury and James Brown.
Director Rafiek Mammon says celebrating 10 years in existence is testament to his show’s popularity.
“The show is in demand and because it’s an annual show running for five days only, the regulars of over 10 years have already bought group bookings in the hundreds,” says Mammon.
“It’s the kind of jol that every coloured person on the Cape Flats will be proud of.

“This show has always been sold out and due to its popularity, I have no doubt that it will be the case again this year.
“Thanks to people who used this event for fundraisers, Best of Boogie has already managed to help build mosques and churches in Cape Town.
“It’s an unapologetic coloured humour show which stars Gary Naidoo, Jon-E and Riyaan Cornelius.”
