REUNITE: Woman2Woman girl band REUNITE: Woman2Woman girl band
Cape Flats girl band Woman2Woman are reuniting for a show that will allow fans to see them in all their “raw and naked glory”.
But they won’t be shedding their clothes, only their inhibitions, the lively trio tells the Daily Voice.
Known for their hilarious parodies of hit songs, the girls say they are changing their tune this weekend where fans will see a more serious side to them.
Lauren-Lee Bock, Felicity Kiran and Anray Amansure shot to fame in 2016 when their parody of Beyoncé’s Irreplaceable, went viral and was even picked up by media overseas.
They renamed the song Stap Links - about a couple breaking up - and gave it a healthy dose of Cape Flats reality.
The trio say they’ve come a long way since and want to share their musical journey with fans.
“Our show this time around has much more rawness. We’re going to let people in on our group and indivi- dual music journeys. We want people to leave our show feeling like they were included in everything,” Lauren says.
Anray adds: “We’re going to expose ourselves a bit more than we did before through our stories and music.”
Lauren and Felicity’s manager, David Gummers, says the two-and-a-half hour long show will leave mense in awe. “The show is about three beautiful strong women,” David says.
“Lauren is melodic, Felicity is big and booming and Anray is crystal, and with those different vocals working together perfectly it’s going to be a showstopper event.”
The group will be performing at the Bellville Collective Arts Theatre from Thursday to Saturday at 8pm.
