Radio personality Saskia Falken is making her comeback this weekend.
Kfm 94.5 revealed on Tuesday that Saskia will join the station’s new Sunday line-up, kicking off on 31 March.
The station has been teasing listeners for weeks about their new weekend line-up.
Saskia is currently working as the Senior Marketing Manager for Primedia Broadcasting Cape Town.
After her five-year break from the airwaves, the mom of one says she feels as if she’s never left the studio.
“Working behind the scenes at Kfm 94.5, I am keenly aware of the passion the station has for the city, the province and its people, and when I got the opportunity to return to a seat behind the microphone, I was unable to resist returning to my first love,” she says.
“Sundays in Cape Town represents family time, an opportunity to unwind, and renew energies for the week ahead and most importantly, starting your day with a city staple: koeksisters and coffee,” she laughs.
While she was away, Saskia became a mom and also managed to bag an MBA (Masters in Business Administration).
Asked how she juggled her busy lifestyle, she says: “I am a woman, we are excellent multi-taskers.
“It takes lots of pre-planning, and a water-tight schedule will help me navigate my role as a mother, Head of Marketing at Primedia Broadcasting Western Cape and Kfm Sundaze breakfast host.”
Saskia, who has more than 15 years of radio experience, will host the Sundaze show from 7am-10am.
