Jamie-Lee to join Heart 104.9FM family

Expresso Breakfast Show presenter Jamie-Lee Domburg will soon be joining the Heart 104.9FM family in the new year.
The 29-year-old from Steenberg made her debut on Sunday, but listeners may have missed it as she hosted 4am to 6am training slot.
“I can’t believe it, it’s so surreal.
“Joining the Heart FM team is phenomenal, it’s a station that’s been around for the longest time and to train with some of the best presenters is amazing,” says the excited mom of one.
“Everyone makes me feel like family already.
“I can now add radio presenter to the CV.
“Going on air this morning, there were a lot of listeners messaging to say welcome to the family.
“People said it’s nice to hear someone so chirpy on air at that time because usually at that time it’s very quiet.
“I have never done radio before and it’s always been a dream.”
Jamie had been training off air for two months before her debut.
“I was just a hype girl, talking a whole lot of nonsense and making jokes because there’s quite a lot of people and nurses awake and my mommy.”
Programme Manager Vernon Nel says they are eager to get Jamie-Lee’s official slot in place after she completes her morning stint.
“It’s a training slot that supports Heart FM’s approach to new talent.
“We believe Jamie is a super talent in our city and we’d love to see her grow in radio,” he says.
Jamie will be appearing on the Sunday 4am-6am slot for now until her official slot airs in 2022.
“God willing, next year I can get a prime spot but obviously one that accommodates my TV schedule too, I want to balance it out.”
