It was another sad goodbye on The Voice SA this week as Daniel Jay, Elisha James and Francois Viljoen were kicked off the show.
Now fans have the final say in who stays in the competition from next week.
On coach Francois van Coke’s team, Anslin Gysman, Chezelle Shahadat and Daniel Jay were up for the Viewers’ Save last week and the fans voted to keep Anslin, 23, from Cape Town on the team.
Cape Town talent is still dominating the numbers of the coaches’ saves going through to the top 12 spots with Amy Tjasink, Tasche Burger and the PJ Twins repping Kaapstad.
The first act to sing for LIRA’s final vote was the PJ Twins, 26, from Bonteheuwel, who belted out Whitney Houston’s Run To You.
The two hit the high notes and impressed their coach enough for a save.
“As we waited with bated breath for the announcement of who would be saved, we knew we were up against the finest and we were OK if LIRA had saved either Yahto or Sbu instead,” they said.
“Getting through another round just means more hard work as the competition is just going to get tougher, but we’re up for the challenge.”

“I feel absolutely honoured that (coach) Riky believes in my vision and my dream. I am so lucky to be able to live out my dream every Sunday.”
PJ Twins, Amy Tjasink and Tasche Burger were saved by the judges this week.
Anslin and Sone Joubert need viewers’ votes to make it to the next round of top 12.
Sone, who was booted out at the beginning of the show, was lucky to be brought back by the Viewers’ Save later.
“I feel like the comeback kid that is fighting for survival. I still have to do a lot of hard work to get where I want to be, but I know that in the end, it will be worth the fight,” she says.
To get Anslin to the next round SMS 13 to 33692.
