I’m Lieben you, Nicky: Lee-Ann Liebenberg dumps joller hubby
SPLITSVILLE: Lee-Ann Liebenberg and Nicky van der Walt
Lee-Ann Liebenberg and Nicky van der Walt have split after the local supermodel outed the businessman for jolling.
Lee-Ann, 38, took to Instagram to say they were calling it quits on their 10-year marriage.
“It is with great sadness that Nicky and I have made the decision to part ways after 10 years of marriage,” she posted at the weekend before deleting the post.
The pair have two daughters and a son, the third child was born in March.
There were no signs of trouble as they appeared to be the perfect family when they were featured in You magazine recently.
Following Lee-Anne’s shocking revelation, Nicky then took to Instagram to respond to Lee-Ann’s post, but denied they were getting divorced.
He also put the “split” down to her post-partum depression.
“In response to my wife’s post. I love her and my children dearly and with all my heart. We are not getting a divorce,” he wrote.
“Lee is suffering from deep PPD (Post-partum Depression). All I can do is try to be there for her for the best of my family, whom I love and respect with my whole being.
“I ask everyone please to give us space to work through this and respect our family and pray for her to get better so we can put it behind us and focus on our beautiful children. Lee-Ann, I love you with all my heart.”
Lee-Ann, a former Miss South Africa finalist and later voted FHM magazine’s Sexiest Woman of 2005, however, revealed last week that hubby dearest had been having an affair.
She dropped a bombshell on Friday when she told her 112 000 Instagram followers: “I have not been hacked… Emily_Kark you can have him.”
All traces of the mystery woman on social media have vanished.
Lee-Ann was previously engaged to pop star Danny K before calling it quits in 2009 after six years.
Danny would then hook up with Nicky’s ex-girlfriend, Lisa Gundelfinger, and they tied the knot in 2011.
