BTC’s Zelda Hintsa says: “The educational production will cover aspects such as my family; my home; fruit and vegetables; good manners; me, I am special; people who help us and their occupation; child safety; weather, clothes we wear, colors; shapes; Easter and many more.”
The show promises interactive fun activities, including music, dance, costumes and comedy.
The cast members are Candice Consani, Jesse Frankson, Thembelethu Zwele and Lisa Williams.
It’s choreographed by Jaydine Ross and the stage managers are Jamie-Lee Brant and Zoe Caswell.
Cast member Lisa Williams, 21, graduated from the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in 2016 and completed a BA Drama and Psychology Undergraduate Degree in 2020 from Rhodes University.
She says: “The passion I have for the arts began as a little girl. I am now able to work in the field of drama and be that person I looked up to as a little girl.
“Being a part of the Our Voices Count production has given me the opportunity to be a role model for the future generations to come.
“Drama in education has taught me to know your audience and understand them as well, that would make the audience feel comfortable with the messages we are trying to portray.
“Drama excites me because it is the goal I was trying to achieve my whole life and now it feels like I am living my dream.”
