Alexander Sinton High pupils lined picketed along Krombroom Road with posters and chants calling for end of violence against women and children.

The initiative came from the school’s Representative Council of Learners (RCL), following the recent spate of violence against our society's most vulnerable members from across the country. Pupils along with their teachers were given an hour before class started to picket.

Deputy principal Fazilet Bell said activism was part of the school’s DNA and they as educators we're proud of their pupils standing together for such a noble cause.
