Suspect nabbed with an unlicensed gun in Lavis

Saps members were patrolling Sky Road on Sunday when they spotted a suspicious looking male who started to run when he saw the police.

A chase ensued and police members managed to arrest the suspect.

He has been charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition and will appear in the Bishop Lavis Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

This arrest comes hours after Lavis was rocked by a triple murder.

Three men were shot and killed in broad daylight just behind the day hospital.
