Hijacker bites his victim to get rings

The attack was documented by CCTV cameras at a nearby complex.

The minute-long footage shows how a woman and her passenger in a Range Rover are accosted by two men, one armed with a handgun.

As the woman tries to get out of the vehicle, the armed man grabs her by the arm, seemingly demanding the rings on her fingers.

As she struggles with him, the man can be seen raising the woman’s hand to his mouth to remove the rings with his teeth.

At the end of the clip, the second man drags the woman out of the vehicle.

Founder of crime fighting group eBlockwatch André Snyman said the woman had to seek medical treatment after the encounter.

The estimated value of the property stolen from her was apparently R200 000.
