STILL MISSING: Raymonde Boltman STILL MISSING: Raymonde Boltman

The family of the boyfriend of missing mom Raymonde Boltman has welcomed police searching their home on Wednesday, saying they have nothing to hide.

A police van rocked up at the house of Umar Pregnalato in Watt Court, Woodlands, Mitchells Plain on Thursday, where cops carried out a search in the yard.

However, they left the premises empty-handed.

Raymonde, 23, went missing on the morning of 20 April 2016. The couple have a three-year-old daughter together.

Raymonde’s mother had walked her to the bus stop at Clocktower just after 5 am in Lentegeur.

But Raymonde didn’t arrive at her workplace, a plastic factory in Elsies River.

A R50 000 reward had been offered by police for information about the disappearance.

INVESTIGATION: Police at the Woodlands house

On Thursday, Umar’s mother, who asked not to be identified, says the family is willing to work with the police to find answers.

“We do not have a problem with the police being here,” says the mother.

“If the police need to do what they need to do, like they did this morning, to find answers, we have no problem with it. The sooner the better for all of us, because we all need answers on what happened.”

Raymonde’s family did not want to comment.

Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana says cops are investigating: “We have been in contact with the detective and police were following up on leads and information but there was no success.”
