A mother of two from Eagle Park says police moered her and made her wet herself when they came searching for a gang hitman at her home.
Ashlene Scheepers, 24, says cops kicked in the door to her Wendy house looking for a man called “Charra” and also threatened to take her baby away from her if she did not co-operate.
The alleged incident happened on Monday just after 8am.
“My son, eight, had just left for school and I was in bed with my daughter, aged one, and the door was kicked in. They asked me where ‘Charra’ was.
“I told them I don’t know a ‘Charra’ and they started hitting me,” the mother explains.
Ashlene says she only moved into the Wendy house last week and shares the premises with three other Wendy houses.
“An officer then told me: ‘jy ****er, moetie k** praat nie. Hy slaap in die hokkie’.
“They started searching the place. They asked for my daughter’s birth certificate and clinic card and said if I don’t speak they’re going to take her away,” Ashlene says.
The young mom says she was smacked, her feet kicked out from under her and a female officer jumped on her stomach.
She says she was bleeding and sustained a blue eye while her other eye became bloodshot.

“I had peed myself wet and asked if I could get a clean pants and they told me: ‘niemand sê jy moet kaal *ê nie’,” says Ashlene.
“I also asked if I could pick up my [false] teeth that was between an officer’s boots, I was told to ‘druk dit in jou bek’.
“They asked if I knew them and I said no, and they said: ‘ja, dis reg. Ons hang self mense, ons choke jou vrek’.”
The young woman now fears the officers might come back to hurt her and called on authorities to assist her.
“They need to go to jail. I can hardly bend, my body aches and my eye is blue,” she says.
She says she tried opening a case at Grassy Park SAPS, but was turned away.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana encouraged Ashlene to go back to Grassy Park SAPS and open a criminal case against the officers.
“The complainant should see the station commander, Lt.Col Esau or Captain Jacky Galant, at the station to assist her,” Rwexana said.
Rwexana says Charra, whose real name is Jamiel Jacobs, is wanted for two murders and attempted murders by Steenberg SAPS.
“He has been affiliated to the 6Bobs/JFK Gang,” Rwexana adds.
