Cape car club makes boy’s birthday special
AID: Over 500 food packs handed out in Rocklands
Over 500 party packs and food was donated in Rocklands on Saturday.
The event was in partnership with Jonathan Rubain, Cape Polo Squad (CPS) and Overflow Feeding Scheme.
Jason Stephens of CPS says they are a non-profit organisation of VW Polo owners who work with communities.
“We raise funds from our own pockets to buy food and toiletries to communities in need.
“This past weekend we joined Hayden Meyer’s birthday celebrations who donated over 500 party packs and warm meals,” he says.
“The community of Rocklands was overjoyed to see Jonathan and we also had a convoy of about 30 cars.

Rubain says the event was a major success: “Seeing the joy and smiles in people’s faces when getting food and party packs is what made it special.
“It brought positive vibes to the community of Rocklands.”
