WORRYING: Ntombozuko Ndzingo from Nyanga was last seen on Thursday
Nyanga police are seeking help from the public to find a missing kerkvrou from Old Crossroads.
Ntombozuko Ndzingo was last seen on Thursday after she left a church service.
Bathandwa Cwasi, a friend who attends the same church as the missing woman, says although it is not the first time that Ndzingo has gone away, it is different this time because it’s been a week.
“It is not the first time she gone missing, and when it does happen she tells us that she just goes blank and does not remember where she’s been.
“But this time we are worried because we don’t know what might have happened to her because it has been too long,” he says.
Cwasi says the last person to speak to Ndzinga spoke to her on the phone on Friday morning and when she did not attend church on Sunday they got worried and went to check on her.
“When we got to her place she was not there and the last time she was on WhatsApp was on Friday morning.
“She stays alone because her family is in Grabouw so we don’t know what might have happened to her,” he says.
He appealed to anyone who might have seen her to contact the police.
Police spokesperson Colonel Andrè Traut confirms a missing persons docket was opened at Nyanga Police Station.
“Anyone with information on her whereabouts is kindly requested to contact the investigating officer Detective Sergeant Xililizwe Ntshongwana on 082 469 2470 or Crime Stop on 08 600 1011,” says Traut.
