A 26-year-old woman and two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 62-year-old man, thought to be her sugar daddy.

On 30 October, Graham Glenn Cragg was found dead in his home in Blouberg after a colleague became worried when he hadn’t arrived for work.

His body was found wrapped in plastic on his second floor flat at Sunset on Hill in Hill Road a few days later. The cause of death is not known.

Police spokesperson Andrè Traut says: “This office can confirm that the body of a 62-year-old male was found inside his flat in Blouberg on Friday, 30 October, by a colleague and police of Table View.

“Three suspects - two men and a woman aged between 26 and 31 - were arrested.”

Glenn’s cellphone, keys and VW Polo were missing.

Police say David Jones, Craig Phillipus and Chanté Strydom were arrested in the Athlone area while inside Glenn’s Polo.

The trio, who are from various areas in the Southern suburbs, have long rap sheets for drug dealing and car theft, police said.

Strydom is also said to be a well-known sex worker in the area and was sexually involved with the deceased.

One of her close friends told the Daily Voice: “She was an escort in demand. Everybody wanted her. Rich men, foreign ministers, and even a few public figures were her clients.”

The source also claimed that Strydom was Glenn’s mistress: “He was like a father figure. Glenn and Chanté had a ‘thing’ on.

“Glenn got her out of prison multiple times. Glenn helped her with all her cases.”

Now Chanté’s friend believes that she was involved in the murder.

“She stayed with Glenn and then they split up, what happened afterwards is that she got a boyfriend.

“The boyfriend is the [other] accused in the case. So the boyfriend convinced her to pull this stunt on Glenn. It’s all f***ed up.”

“He helped her out her s*** and now this.”

The trio appeared in the Cape Town Magistrates’ Court on Monday and are set to re-appear on 18 November for bail application.
