While the City of Cape Town on Friday reopened the section between Muizenberg Pavilion and Sunrise Beach to the public, it yesterday announced that Fish Hoek beach is now closed to bathers following another sewage leak.
“The temporary closure is due to a sewer overflow in the area – the cause of which has yet to be identified.
“Various City departments have been activated to respond.
“As a precaution, Fish Hoek Beach has been closed until further notice,” the City said in a statement.
