Alleged Hard Livings gangster shot dead in Mitchells Plain
SHOT DEAD: Alleged Hard Livings gangster was gunned down in his car outside Mitchells Plain SAPS

AN ALLEGED Hard Livings gangster was shot and killed inside his black Volkswagen Polo while parked opposite the Mitchells Plain police station inside the Shoprite parking lot vicinity yesterday.
The man is known by his nickname "Chucky" and it is alleged that he was waiting on a member of the HLs gang, who was being released on bail at the Mitchells Plain Magistrates court.
According to a Daily Voice source, Chucky was shot and killed by a guy pretending to be a car guard.
When the Daily Voice arrived on the scene, the family of the deceased was standing and looking on as forensic pathologists removed the deceased body from the car. The father of the deceased declined to comment saying: "Ek wil net by die huis uit kom".
Mense were too bang to comment on what happened and said that they saw what happened but do not want to say anything out of fear that they will be headhunted.
According to an eyewitness, who does not want to be named out of fear for her safety, said that the incident took place around 12pm.

She tells the Daily Voice: "He [the shooter] is a jong laaitie who seems to be around the age of 16 and 17 years old, he doesn't even look like someone who knows how to shoot. He was dwaaling the whole time up and down in the parking lot and was wearing a red and black wig while pretending to be a car guard.”
“He was an unfamiliar face and when we looked again, he took out a gun and started shooting at the guy in the car. He ran to the corner and had the nerve to open fire again. It was about seven shots that went off.”
“The guy in the car was waiting for someone who was apparently at the Magistrates court, so I don't think they were supposed to shoot him."
Police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk confirmed the shooting saying: "Mitchells Plain police are investigating a murder case following a shooting incident on 3 March at about 12:30 at the Town Centre parking area in Mitchells Plain, where a 31-year-old man was shot and fatally wounded."
"The unknown suspect/s fled the scene and are yet to be arrested. Circumstances surrounding this incident are under investigation. The motive forms part of the police investigation."
