WESTERN Cape police are on the hunt for murder suspects and offering up to R100 000 for information leading to the arrest of the fugitives.

In posts yesterday, cops notified the public that they are pursuing an alleged taxi hitman Vuyo Tshukela, aka Yeso, who has been linked to several murders.

With taxi and gang tensions on the rise innie Kaap, a warrant for Yeso’s arrest has also been issued by the court.

Police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Malcolm Pojie says: “The suspect who is on the run has been positively linked to at least four taxi-related murders which were perpetrated in Philippi East and Nyanga during August 2024, and murders in Nyanga and Delft during September 2024.”

Cops are also looking for the suspect in the murder of a British doctor on 3 August 2023.

Kar Hao Teoh, 40, and his family were en route to the airport when their GPS rerouted them through Nyanga as the N-2 was blocked due to a taxi strike.

The suspect was described as a light skinned African male wearing a hoodie. No one else was injured or robbed.

In a separate case, Ekutheleni Primary principal Mr Jeffrey Sigudla was shot in his car in front of the Kraaifontein school on 23 January 2025.

Cops are looking for two suspects.

Police management in the province is appealing to anyone with information regarding the fugitive’s whereabouts to contact Lieutenant Colonel Julian Tarentall at 082 559 4645 or Captain Lukhanyo Magadla at 082 411 3245. Alternatively, Crime Stop can be contacted at 08600 10111 or via MySAPS mobile application.
