In 2024, Smith took a leap of faith and decided to build something meaningful out of his brand.

He would regularly host shows at a local club, but one day he knew it was time to take it to a bigger stage, the GrandWest Grand Arena.

That’s how The Soulful Reunion was born: bringing Cape Town artists together in a celebration of soul music, where hearts and souls connect, and vision comes to life. In the same year, he successfully hosted The Soulful Reunion 1, setting the stage for what has now become an annual soulful experience.

“My goal is to give Capetonians an international experience with our own local talent. This is a night to refuel the soul, whatever challenges 2025 may have brought, whatever struggles weighed you down, the show is a space to leave it all behind and recharge. Guests will leave renewed in spirit, which is why it’s called a Reunion. It’s more than a concert; it’s a gathering to celebrate resilience, triumphs, and gratitude,” said Peadon.

Gysman, meanwhile, said: “The audience can expect authenticity, passion, and real connection through

music. For me, it’s about creating moments that uplift and remind us of music’s power to heal and bring us together. My aim is to give my all on stage so the experience lives on long after the final note.”

The show features male artists only, a deliberate choice by Peadon to highlight the gents of Cape Town. He believes it’s time for them to step up, show gratitude, and thank the city for its unwavering support. This night is about unity, giving back, and honouring the love Cape Town has shown over the years.
