GUGULETHU is mourning the loss of one of its most recognisable entertainers, popular DJ and community sportsman Luvuyo 'P Touch' Sapepa, who was gunned down in broad daylight.
He was attacked on Monday afternoon in NY139, Gugulethu, as he got out of a vehicle.
An unidentified man was also killed in the same incident.
Two video clips of the murder circulated widely on social media. The first shows a man in a white vest standing outside a car as a white Suzuki passes.
He ducks and runs into a yard. As the front passenger door opens, Sapepa is struck and collapses on the ground.
The driver of the vehicle reverses away from the scene while a shooter follows the man in the vest. Two more suspects then approach and shoot Sapepa in the head.

He said: “These kinds of shootings leave our community members traumatised because they don’t happen in areas without people. There are people, including children. We can’t live in a community where guns are ringing. We condemn such acts of violence because they affect innocent people.”
Sapepa was a resident DJ at Teez Lounge and a member of the Gugulethu Athletic Club.
In a statement, the club paid tribute to him: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our valued members, Luvuyo Sapepa, affectionately known as @positivetouchza.
“The Orange Army extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends, and fellow members. His contribution and spirit will be remembered with gratitude and respect.”
