A LUCKY Western Cape dad and Manchester United fan as come forward to claim his helse R163million Powerball jackpot.

The winner said he bought his R30 ticket via the Nedbank banking app using manually selected numbers - a combination inspired by the birth dates of his loved ones.

He said this life-changing win meant his children would be able to enjoy life and plans on surprising them with a trip to Old Trafford for a live game

He says: “My children and I are all fans of Manchester. I’ve always dreamt of watching them live, and now we can. But I’m not telling them about the win — they must continue working hard and remain disciplined.”

He also plans to surprise his wife with a well-deserved overseas girls’ trip with her sisters, something she has long wished for.

The pa added: “I will use my winnings to ease life for my family and relatives because we come from humble beginnings. As for my wife, I’ll buy her the best coffee machine on the market. I know she’d prefer a live-in barista, but the coffee machine will have to do!”

“I didn’t tell anyone, not even my colleagues. One of them even bought me lunch the next day — little did they know I was R163 million richer. I had to bite my lip to keep from smiling. I’ll still accept their lunches, but now I’ll also be buying lunch for everyone more often.”

He plans on taking swimming lessons and wants to learn to play a musical instrument.
