EASY NOW: Pay fines with new app

THERE is good news for motorists don’t want to get stuck in traffic jam to pay fines.
From this month, mense can log on to PayThat.co.za and clear any outstanding boete.
The portal, a partnership between payment solutions provider Pay@ and the City of Cape Town, promises a secure online portal enabling traffic offenders to check and pay traffic fines as well as by-law violation warrants.
Andrew Hardie, CEO of Pay@ explained: “We’re proud to support the City of Cape Town in delivering a digital payment experience that meets the expectations of today’s users. PayThat.co.za is designed to be intuitive, secure, and scalable.
“For the Pay@ team, this dedicated online portal needed to marry convenience, reliability, and efficiency to ensure Traffic offenders can easily pay their fines and thereby avoid penalties.”
Meanwhile the City added: “By improving how individuals and businesses interact with the City online, we can enhance compliance and convenience across the board.”
Users can check outstanding fines using their notice or ID number, and complete secure transactions through a wide network of trusted payment partners.
Mense can use instant card and EFT payments and banking apps (Capitec, FNB, RMB, Tyme, Absa, Nedbank, and the Money Market App).
PayThat charges no additional service fee. Users pay only the fine amount shown on their infringement notice.
