SEIZED: Mandrax tablets confiscated in Heideveld

CAPE Town police busted four suspected drug merts in separate incidents on Tuesday. 

Cops hit the streets in Heideveld and Mfuleni, seizing Mandrax, crystal meth and dagga. 

Sergeant Wesley Twigg reported that a man and woman were vasgevat at Alison Court in Heideveld, saying: “Members of Operation Shanela II, searched a premises in Alison Court, Heideveld… and arrested a 53 year old male when they found 46 mandrax tablets and seven half mandrax tablets in the house. He faces a charge for the possession of mandrax

“The members searched another premises in Allison Court and confiscated 26 packets containing crystal meth. 

“They arrested a 49-year-old female for the possession of crystal meth.”

Meanwhile in Mfuleni, cops descended on a premises in Nosethu Crescent.

Twigg added: “Members found two, one kilogram bags containing compressed dagga. A 25-year-old male was arrested for the possession of dagga.

“The same members followed up on information they received about a person who is selling drugs at a premises in Admirable Street, New Beginnings, Mfuleni. 

“They searched the premises and found four mandrax tablets, 27 small plastic packets containing dagga and a small amount of dagga in a plastic packet. A 29 year old male was arrested for the possession of dagga and the possession of mandrax.”
