Police were called to the crime scene in Galvandale Street on 4 January, just after 1.30 pm, where the victims were found with gunshot wounds.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg said no arrests have been made.

Twigg reported: “Mfuleni police registered two counts of murder after the bodies of a 43-year-old female and a 37-year-old male were found in a house in Galvandale Street, Wesbank, on Sunday afternoon at about 1.30 pm.

“Police members attended the crime scene where they found the victims with gunshot wounds to their bodies.

“Both victims were declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation, and arrests are yet to be made.”
