Tyla needs no introduction. The South African singer has been travelling the world from the US to Europe and now deeper into Asia, and fans are here for her creative growth.

In a video presented by "Vogue China", she takes on traditional Chinese instruments like wooden fish, cymbals, clappers and rattle drums, and turns them into a rhythm experiment with her own modern twist.

The instruments each carry centuries of cultural history, from Buddhist chanting to festival beats and ceremonial rhythms.

She taps, shakes, and layers them until they blend into her number one hit "Water," giving the track a fresh texture and, yes, a distinct Asian flavour.

The video pairs the sounds with visuals of her in beachwear, tying the layered rhythm to a visual aesthetic that feels effortless and seasonally relevant.

The "Vogue China" cover itself marks a moment of stylistic balance. This isn’t her first "Vogue" feature; she has previously appeared on "British Vogue", but this edition presents a shift in image, combining raw streetwear elements with editorial polish.

The wardrobe leans into earthy, beachy hues and minimalist details that amplify her presence without overcomplicating the aesthetic.

Other looks in the editorial play with summer reds, sleek whites and a hint of nostalgia that nods back to her Water persona, even echoing those seaside shots that fans can’t stop sharing online.

Across the editorial, other looks explore summer reds and crisp whites, nodding subtly to her Water persona.

In one look, the "On and On" singer is draped in a single long towel, wrapped like a strapless dress, effortlessly owning the frame. The shoot captures her merging with the water, fully embracing the calm and elegance of her surroundings.
