Obama: Aliens are real

FORMER US president Barack Obama has revealed that we are not alone in the universe and that aliens are indeed real.

The 64-year-old was the 44th president of the US and served between 2009 and 2017.

But now, he has answered a question that has intrigued millions of people around the world for decades - are aliens real?

In an interview with Bryan Tyler Cohen on the No Lie podcast, Obama said: “They’re real, but I haven’t seen them, and they’re not being kept in – what is it?”

The “what is it?” Obama is referring to is Area 51 - “a highly classified United States Air Force facility within the Nevada Test and Training Range in southern Nevada, 83 miles north-northwest of Las Vegas”, according to its Wikipedia page.

Conspiracy theorists have long claimed that the US government has an underground facility housing these extraterrestrials.

Obama, though, denies that that is the case, adding: “There’s no underground facility, unless there’s this enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the president of the United States.”

Obama has entertained the idea of alien life for a number of years and asked by Cohen what the first question was that he wanted answered when he became president, he replied with a laugh: “Where are the aliens?”

In 2012, Obama also visited Roswell, New Mexico, which is known worldwide for being the site where a spacecraft and its alien occupants were allegedly recovered in 1947 and then hidden by the US government.

Obama quipped at the time: “I announced to people when I landed that I come in peace”.

He added: “Let me tell you, there are nine- and 10-year-old boys... when I meet them they ask me, have you been to Roswell, and is it true what they say?

“And I tell them, ‘If I told you I’d have to kill you’. And you know, their eyes get all big.

“We’re gonna keep our secrets here!”
