Doja Cat has officially confirmed her South African tour, adding her own stamp of approval after the initial headliner announcement!
The American singer and rapper, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, revealed that she is coming to Mzansi after she was announced as the headliner for the Global Citizen concert that is scheduled to take place in Pretoria next month.
The “Agora Hills” hitmaker took to Instagram to share the news of the event, saying that she is excited to finally come to SA - homeland of her father, Sarafina and Yizo Yizo actor Dumisani Dlamini.
“Hi everybody, I am so excited to announce that I am finally going to SA and meeting my fans in Rwanda. I am working with Global Citizen and Move Afrika,” she said.
Dubbed the "Queen of Pop-Rap", the Grammy Award-winning singer also expressed her that the tour will do more than just entertain; it will also generate job opportunities.
She added: “This isn't just an opportunity to tour and play music. It is going to help people find jobs and create opportunities that last, so I am very, very happy to be part of something that is more than just music. I can’t wait to see you guys mcwaaah!”
Move Afrika is set to kick off its tour in Kigali with an event at the BK Arena on 17 March.
Following this, the tour will proceed to Pretoria for Move Afrika: Pretoria, scheduled for March 20 at the SunBet Arena.
