A manhunt has been launched after a second triple murder takes place in Cape Town less than 48 hours apart.

Dunoon has been rocked by another triple murder on Monday.
This is the second triple murder to hit the Milnerton district in less than 48 hours.
The Western Cape police spokesperson, Brigadier Novela Potelwa, confirmed a manhunt has been launched after three people were shot and killed in Ekuphumleni informal settlement in Du Noon.
Potelwa said: “The Western Cape Serious Violent Crimes Unit detectives are currently pursuing several leads as part of an investigation into an incident where two men and a woman were shot and killed in the early hours of Monday morning, 23 February 2026.
The motive for the murder is not known at this stage.
Potelwa added: “Reports from the scene indicate that the deceased persons were shot in front of a shack by yet-to-be-identified gunmen who later fled the scene. The motive for the incident is the subject of a police investigation."
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward and contact Crime Stop at 08600 10111 or via the MySAPS app.
On Saturday, 21 February, three people were shot and killed in Freedom Way in Joe Slovo, Milnerton.
The incident took place at about 10.30pm.
At the time of the murder, police said a silver Toyota Avanza was discovered with multiple bullet holes.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Andrè Traut, said the victims included two women and a man.
“Inside the vehicle were the bodies of two adult females who were declared deceased on the scene. A few metres away, the body of a 36-year-old male was also found. According to information provided by a family member, the deceased male was previously involved in the taxi industry, and one of the female victims was reportedly his girlfriend. The motive for the attack is unknown at this stage, and the suspects are yet to be apprehended,” Traut said.
The murder investigation has been assigned to the Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Detectives for further investigation.
Police appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information that could assist the investigation to please come forward. Information can be reported anonymously via Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or through the MySAPS mobile application.
