A Muizenberg lawyer accused of paying young boys to have sex with him will know the outcome of his bail hearing as he returns to court today.
Meanwhile, traumatised moms from Capricorn have called on the courts to deny his bail and keep him in the mang as the victims are now fearing for their lives after they’ve been threatened.
Theo Hartzenberg, 36, will return to the Muizenberg Magistrates’ Court today after his bail hearings were concluded earlier this week.
He was busted by Muizenberg police last month after seven boys told police that he paid them R100 to penetrate him and R50 to masturbate for him each night at Muizenberg Beach.
A 39-year-old mom, who discovered what was happening, says the boys are now living in fear that he will be released.
“My 14-year-old son was held at knife point outside our house last week by other people who said he piemped the lawyer and put him in jail,” she says.
“I went to the detective and told them what was happening.
“Our children are very traumatised and are receiving counselling and now all of them are fearing for their lives after what happened to my son.”
The mom, who has attended the bail hearings, said she got a skrik when Hartzenberg’s lawyer told the court he did not know the boys.
“I couldn’t believe it because all of them pointed him out and this was happening for about two months when I found out but he tells the court he doesn't know any of the boys.
“We are going back to court on Friday and we hope the Magistrate is going to deny his bail.
“We want justice for what happened to our boys.”
