Alleged Sexy Boys gang boss Jerome "Donkie" Booysen has hit back against claims that he was a police informant saying those accused alongside Nafiz Modack misused his name to get kroon.
Speaking to the Daily Voice at the Western Cape High Court on Tuesday, Booysen said the claims made by Amaal Jantjies annoyed and infuriated him saying it was clear she had taken Modack for a ride.
The bombshell claim by the Elsies River mom was revealed on Monday as Modack returned to the stand before Judge Robert Henney amid the ongoing murder trial of slain Anti-Gang Unit (AGU) detective Lieutenant-Colonel Charl Kinnear.
In his testimony, Modack has revealed that he believed Amaal was an attorney and highlighted various legal work he paid for.
It has since been revealed that she was in fact a clerk at a law firm.
Conversations between Amaal and Modack were highlighted where she alleged to have met with three individuals who could provide Modack with information in exchange for a fee.
In the WhatsApp voice note, Jantjies claims that her contacts at the AGU base revealed that Donkie was an informant to Kinnear and his colleague Captain Althea Jaftha, but Booysen denies this saying Amaal conned Modack.
He says: "I have never been an informer. I was kwaad and annoyed to see them dragging my name into things I played no role in.
"He [Modack] was Amaal’s ATM and we have seen how she fabricated messages and information to get money out of him. They must leave my name out of their dinge. Money can buy you power, money cannot buy you wisdom."
The claims by Jantjies also raised several questions by Judge Robert Henney as Modack was made to answer on charges relating to the alleged corruption of former AGU officer, Ashley Tabisher.
Amaal along with her former berk Janick Adonis was catapulted into the limelight in 2019 following the grenade attack on Kinnear's home.
According to the State’s case the duo allegedly conspired with Modack to attack the Kinnear family and infiltrate the elite police unit to obtain information about planned raids on his home.
Modack returned to the stand yesterday, while Booysen’s case was postponed to 14 April.
